Philipp Haffner: Dancing Sculpture. (2004/2010)
The Dancing Sculpture is a suspended paper mobile (2004). In this video, it turns in a gentle breeze. The use of Johann Strauss' "Blue Danube" as a soundtrack references the docking sequence in Stanley Kubrick's "A Space Odyssey".
Once the fragile scultpure had disintegrated, an old VHS-recording was converted into this 3-D version in 2010, transforming the previously analogue film into red/cyan stereoscopic pictures.
